Review of Love

Last evening, I received my first review from Editor-in-Chief, T. C. Bell, of African-American Literature Review. It humbled me. I was thankful that someone could read my story, feel the pulse of my wonderful characters, and feel the power of their love, passion, envy, and deception. For this, I am grateful.

When I wrote my first draft for review, an editor remarked how real my characterization and story were. That’s exactly what I wanted. It’s love, not fantasy. It’s love with passion, pain, disappointment, lost, and resentment. It’s love with the exhilaration that someone loves you just as much as you love them. It’s love unconditionally. It’s love from the depth of one’s soul to another. It’s love when someone hurts when you hurt, and is happy when you’re happy.

As ever, Urenna
